Dear Glen Mar,
I wanted to share with you that our beloved Ron Stevens has passed away following a battle with cancer. His service celebrating his life will be on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 10 am at Haight Funeral Home on Rt. 32, with burial following at Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, Oct. 11 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

I was so pleased to lead our first ELC chapel of the new school year, and it was my joy to share with them that God’s book has a name, The Bible and that in it they would learn all about God’s love for them. We learned about creation, from Genesis, and as we went through the days of creation, after each thing God had made, we acted it out.

This weekend we will conclude our Summer Family Worship Series, “The Journey,” and I’ll be preaching on “Oh the Places You’ll Go.” I hope you’ll join us in person (masked) or online, to receive a blessing. We’ll be praying especially for our students returning to school next week (so have backpacks at the ready, at home or in worship, with your students, so that we can bless and encourage them).
